Kevin Durant is one of the most elite players the NBA has ever seen. His game has always been world-class. But for some reason KD has struggled with a few injuries occasionally in recent times. This quite possibly started when KD had to go through an injury during the 2019 NBA finals.

KD ruptured his right Achilles tendon. At the time, he had to go through a surgery which was performed by a New York surgeon. KD played for the Warriors after an injury scare in the 2019 NBA finals game 5. The Warriors’ medical staff had cleared him to play, but unfortunately, he was not fit enough. And it just triggered the long-term injury.

This was the same injury scare he had in 2015. In 2019, it got worse and due to which KD missed the 2019-20 season. Steve Kerr, his coach at the time, claimed that he did not know that it could trigger an injury that would require surgery in the end. KD was a free agent after the 2019 season and then joined the Brooklyn Nets when he came back to play.

In the recent episode, The Big Bacon, Shaquille O’Neal, Anthony Spice Adams and Nischelle Turner talked about the whole fiasco involving Charles Barkley and Kevin Durant. Chuck criticized KD not being enough of a leader all through his career. Whereas KD slapped back via his Instagram stories showing the support Chuck had in his team. However, Adams talked about how KD might be bothered about his hair ‘surgery’ even more so than people criticizing his game.

Adams said, “He sure have a problem with people talking about his hair more so than his game. Like I don’t know if there was some type of surgery or more brushes or some[thing], I don’t know like..” Nischelle interrupted in between to remind what the thing was, “No, it’s ‘a’ brush. And I’m not tryna be mean, but it’s just a brush.” Shaq then said, “Nischelle, stay out of that. Nischelle, don’t let me and Spice bring you into this world, you have never been in.” Shaq was talking about the fact that they have done that banter for long now and that was when the three shared a laugh about the conversation.

On a more serious note, KD suffered an injury in January this year as well, which may have hindered the season with Nets. KD is still a very fine player, like he always has been. There is a lot of anticipation around KD throughout his career because of the ability he possesses. He would certainly hope that he can live up to the expectations with a better season next time around.
