While America Celebrates Thanksgiving, Shaquille O’Neal Gives His Chef the Day Off for a Humble Meal on the Holiday

Shaquille O’Neal was asked about his favorite meal to eat during Thanksgiving in the recent episode of ‘Big Podcast with Shaq’. To which, the 4-time champion replied, “Turkey, macaroni, cheese, baked chicken, and stovetop stuffing.” Furthermore, Shaq shared that he is often working during Thanksgiving so he gives his chef a day off and satiates himself with a humble meal.
During the podcast, one of the co-hosts Nischelle Turner asked Shaq and Spice Adams about their Thanksgiving plans. To which, Adams replied that he has two turkeys getting brined and he’ll fry one and smoke the other one. On the other hand, Shaq seemed disappointed with Adams frying the turkey, as he calls Adams “bougie.”

The Los Angeles Lakers legend further shared his Thanksgiving routine. He said, “I’m usually working on Thanksgiving so I give my chef a day off.”
Having given the chef a day off, Shaq satisfies himself with a small turkey sandwich. One of the best parts about the podcast was seeing Shaquille O’Neal and Spice Adams debate about their choices of food.
Why are there no NBA games on Thanksgiving?
In the last 12 years there were no NBA games organized on Thanksgiving. As all 30 teams are given a day off. The NBA is known to take a break on Christmas too. One of the primary reasons is due to competition from other sports. There seems to be a tradition of watching football while celebrating Thanksgiving.
