An update was given that the beloved co-host of the show was hospitalized as he underwent hip-replacement surgery. Fans and players have been praying for the well-being of the four-time NBA champion. However, Shaq’s recent Instagram activity may be seen as a cryptic update.

It surely was concerning to see Shaquille O’Neal lying on a hospital bed. But this was a procedure that he had been planning to undergo for quite some time. Shaq had even mentioned it on one of the episodes of “The Big Podcast.”

O’Neal is very active on his social media handles, especially Instagram. From motivational quotes to highlighting some great NBA performances, the Big Aristotle shares a wide variety of posts. That came to a temporary halt though, as the 15x NBA All-Star underwent surgery.

However, the Los Angeles Lakers legend finally started sharing posts again, hours after he tweeted a picture of himself lying on a hospital bed. O’Neal has shared multiple posts already over the past few hours, which might indicate that the four-time NBA champion is doing well now.

All in all, there may not have been an official update on Shaq’s condition following his surgery. However, the fact that he is active on social media once again means that he must be feeling better and will be back making people laugh again.

Rumors surrounding Shaq’s absence

It has been quite a while since Shaq was seen in public and also on the ‘Inside the NBA’ show. This ultimately led to fans questioning the NBA Hall of Famer’s well-being. There were rumors that O’Neal had been hiding in his mansion in order to avoid a lawsuit related to his involvement with the now-defunct cryptocurrency company, FTX.
