“No More Eddie Murphys Martin Lawrence”: 21 Year Old NBA Star Seems Frustrated Over His Own Generation for Odd Reason

Over the years, Twitter has become a safe space for many celebrities around the world. NBA stars continue to use Twitter to voice out their opinions and thoughts on various aspects of life. While some use it for relaying important information to the fans, many use it just for the sake of it. Recently, a strange tweet from a 21-year-old youngster from the Houston Rockets caught the attention of the NBA world.

There have been many instances of players going on Twitter rants before, but this latest example had a different tone from the usual stuff. Ahead of Houston’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, the young Rockets forward sent out a long tweet revealing his frustrations with today’s generation for not having variety in entertainment.

A lack of variety in the entertainment sector frustrates the Rockets rookie

The 21-year-old power forward, Tari Eason used Twitter to voice out his opinions. After completing college at Louisiana State University, Eason was drafted by the Rockets as the 17th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. In his first season with the team, the rookie is averaging 8.9 points and 5.7 rebounds, though it doesn’t count for much considering the Rockets’ poor record this season.

While slowly trying to shine bright in the West, Eason’s recent tweet on his generation has received attention. Eason tweeted, “Our new generation is becoming very limited entertainment wise. We got like 100 drill rappers no more Ushers. Hella cardi b’s no Lauryn hills. Instagram comics no more Eddie Murphys Martin Lawrence.”.

The 6’8 forward is clearly unimpressed due to a lack of variety in the entertainment industry. Moreover, Eason is fed up with the mundane nature of the entertainment sector. He added, “All people great in there own realm I just wish we had a better variety w stuff”.

Eason shines in the win against San Antonio Spurs

Though the win may not account for too much, Eason dropped a team-high 20 points and 5 rebounds against the San Antonio Spurs. In a face-off between two of the worst teams in the league, the Rockets left San Antonio with a 122-110 win to get their 14th win this season.

While the Rockets are nowhere near the Playoffs spots, the rise of their young stars this season has certainly caught the NBA world’s attention. With Jalen Green, Kevin Porter Jr., Alperen Sengun, and other young players on their roster, Houston has a lot to look forward to.
