The Brooklyn Nets ended the year on a joyful note as they beat the Charlotte Hornets by 17 points. The Nets claimed the driver’s seat from the get-go and stayed in control of the game until the final buzzer. Furthermore, they led each quarter while also never allowing the Hornets to amp up their game. The Nets’ mastery was led by Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant who bagged 28 and 23 points respectively, with the game ending 123-106. As the NBA world witnessed this dominating performance, they were also left stunned by a list of facts regarding Irving.

It was announced on the broadcast that there were several reasons why Kyrie Irving wore a jersey with the number 11. To begin with, the seven-time NBA All-Star’s name consists of 11 letters while the letter ‘K’ happens to be the 11th letter in the alphabet. Secondly, he was born at 1:11 and was the 1st overall pick in the 1st round of the 2011 draft. The Nets star also played a total of 11 games for Duke University before entering the NBA draft. Moreover, Irving’s father reportedly wore the same jersey number back in his college days. If that wasn’t enough, Irving achieved the feat of 11,000 points on the 11th of March. Finally, the Brooklyn Nets won their 11th straight game while these facts were brought to the public’s attention.

NBA fans were left stunned by this revelation. Many found this to be crazy and claimed that Irving was the chosen one. On a lighter note, they pointed out the point guard’s history of believing in certain “conspiracy theories”. One of these theories included believing that the Earth was flat.
