Ray Allen borrows shoes from Michael Jordan

While on the Dan Patrick Show, Alen was speaking about how his son is a sneakerhead. In today’s era, it is impossible to be a sneakerhead and not have Jordans. Hence, Allen admitted that his son has many Jordans in his collection. This brought up the question of whether Allen has ever received shoes from Jordan.

While they may not have been gifts, Allen has received shoes from Jordan himself. He reflected on the time he visited Michael’s house in Jupiter and borrowed a pair of his golf shoes. Looking at the shoes, Allen couldn’t help himself but ask for a few.

He explained why and said: “I did you know, without any embarrassment, because there were shoes that nobody else had or ever seen before. Now you can go online and find a lot of Jordan golf shoes. But if you go back about 6-7 years, he’s making all these shoes that basketball shoes, running shoes that have golf soles on them. Nobody ever seen them before so I got to have these shoes. So I stuck my foot in there, no sock, squeezing into 13.”

Allen shouldn’t feel embarrassed either, as they were exclusive shoes that only Michael Jordan had at the time. Looking at how enticing the opportunity was, anyone would have made that decision. Hence, Allen received shoes from Jordan, but only after he asked for them.
