The world is witnessing a final run of one of the greatest ever. Serena Williams, who has stated that she will retire soon, turned back the clock yesterday as she delivered a timeless classic in the second round of the US open. Moreover, several NBA players came out in support of the star as she overcame insane odds.

Serena played the second-seeded Anett Kontaveit, and the odds were stacked against her. After a disappointing comeback at Wimbledon, many expected Serena to play her last match. However, that wasn’t the case as she defeated the world number 2 Anett Kontaveit in the second round and advanced to the third round.

The NBA players were cheering on one of the greatest players of all time, possibly playing her last tournament.

The NBA stars were hyped to see Serena come out victorious. LeBron James posted a clip on his Instagram story, praising Serena and hilariously making goat noises and calling her the GOAT.

While Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry was just not ready to stop seeing Serena and he tweeted, Not done yet  @serenawilliams”.

The Point God Chris Paul tweeted,Never seen anything like what Serena Williams is doing!!! EVERYBODY EVERYWHERE is cheering for her and watching every moment!! I’m a fan and enjoying every minute!!! @serenawilliams#USOpen2022″. 

The latest addition to the New York Knicks, Jalen Brunson, also tweeted, “LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SERENA” appreciating her greatness.

While the star of the future, Ja Morant was hyped after seeing her and he said, “serenaaaaaaaaa”.

Serena Williams has delivered some masterclass performances over the years, and this one was right there. Over her 27-year career, she has defied expectations and continues to do so. The fans at the Flushing Meadows were cheering her on and will continue to do so.

This may be the last time Serena may be playing at her home Grand Slam and fans will surely miss her. She will be keen on adding to her impressive grand slam tally and equaling the all-time record.
