“Not Even Top-10”: NBA Fans Hit Back as Jayson Tatum, Who Once Questioned His Own Ability, Makes Bold Claim About Himself

Jayson Tatum is 24 years old and has already appeared in his first NBA Finals as the franchise star player. Boston Celtics, led By Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, exceeded any expectations from them this season by taking the Celtics to the NBA Finals. Stephen Curry and the Warriors may have defeated them, but it surely is a great feat for the young roster. Tatum may have lost the finals, but his confidence is still off the charts.

According to Jayson Tatum, at 24, he is the best player in the NBA. When one thinks of players on his level currently, a few names like Nikola Jokic, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Joel Embiid come to mind. On a good day, Tatum has several times proved to be better than all of these All-Stars however, NBA Twitter disagrees.

‘NBACentral’ recently Tweeted out a post, sharing an article in which Tatum confessed of being one of the best players in the world. In no time, the tweet garnered 3000 likes and several re-tweets.

Jayson Tatum has shown up in the playoffs, but he had struggled to call his own number against Golden State Warriors. He averaged 26.9 points this past season, which was at the seventh rank on the leaderboards.

Points per game do not tell the entire story, but Tatum certainly is one of the elite scorers in the NBA. He once questioned his leadership after a string of losses with the Celtics, but this recent comment by home contradicts his own opinion. NBA Twitter, however, blasted this take by him.

He said, “I’ll be honest, for myself, there have been times where I questioned, am I the right person to kind of lead a group like this, Never like doubted myself, but just moments after some of those losses and the tougher parts of the season.

Tatum is surely one of the best talents out there. His teammate Jaylen Brown is also a star player and may just be the Celtics’ best player.
