Keegan Bradley has shared the golf course with numerous notable NBA players and legends. One would assume that his favorite player may be Stephen CurryLeBron James or his friend Michael Jordan. But surprisingly, his choice of player wasn’t even drafted in the league back in 1999.

The star golfer’s choice may be due to one or two on-court or off-court instances or just a sentimental attachment. But one would get the answer right when guessing who Keegan Bradley’s favorite player was.

Bradley’s thing for Birdman

Currently engaged in the Traveler’s Championship at the number one spot, Bradley once revealed his favorite NBA player. And he was a member of the 2012-13 Miami Heat championship-winning team.

One would assume it might have been Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, or even King James. But instead, Bradley’s favorite NBA player was none other than Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen.

Andersen was an undrafted player from the 1999 draft. The 6’10 power forward and center made a name for himself with the Denver Nuggets and then went on to win an NBA championship with the Heat.

Back on 10th June 2013, Keegan Bradley sent out a tweet, a day after Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat. The Heat brought the series back to 1-1 after the Spurs took the first game.

While Bradley chose Andersen as his favorite player, he also excluded any player who played for the Boston Celtics. It only went to show that he bled green for the Celtics an entire decade ago. It’s anybody’s guess if Bradley still feels that way about Andersen or the Celtics.

Buddy Jordan may not know about Bradley’s favorite

Bradley has often talked extensively about his friendship with the Chicago Bulls legend, Michael Jordan. He shared his thoughts and views on playing golf alongside MJ since the six-time NBA champion has always been an avid golfer. So, it was surprising to see Bradley choosing another player over His Airness.

Jordan may not have been aware of Bradley’s tweet since the golf star has been a longtime member of MJ’s Grove XXIII club as well. If he did, that would’ve been an interaction that fans would’ve loved to see.
