“Not Man Enough” Tiger Woods Was Blasted for Ghosting “Big Brother” Michael Jordan by Livid Charles Barkley

Stardom and fame almost always come at a cost. Tiger Woods is the most famous golfer in the world and maybe ever. One could say that he is the Michael Jordan of golf. Tiger Woods has been the epitome of greatness in his sport. Woods is possibly the most successful golfer ever and his legend continues growing even today.

Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan have been friends for years now and MJ has often gone to play golf with him. Jordan has always held Woods in the highest regard and, of course, his friend has returned the favor.

Not only Michael Jordan, but another NBA legend has been a long-time friend of Tiger Woods. Charles Barkley, just like Michael Jordan, loves golfing and has done that ever since his playing days. But his friendship with Tiger Woods has not been simple or straightforward. The same is the case for Woods and Jordan. That is one of the things that proves to be the cost of that success, fame, and money.

Charles Barkley once talked about a time when Woods did not contact him or Jordan due to some reasons.

Sources close to all three legends reported that Woods had not contacted either of the too much after the incident in 2009. Not even MJ who was like a big brother to Woods. 

Following that after the rare condor from Jordan’s side towards Woods in an article in 2016, the contact decreased further. And for Chuck, he did not get to talk much with the golf legend ever since 2009.

“To this day, I don’t have any idea what happened,” Barkley said. “After that … thing, he just stopped talking to us. That’s all I know. I could understand if he was trying to get back with his wife at the time and she said, ‘Hey, get rid of all your old friends,’ and he called and said, ‘This is the situation,’ ” Barkley continued. “I would’ve understood that. But I just wish he would have been man enough to call and say that. To just disappear totally was disappointing.”

In 2009, Tiger Woods was in an accident that was life-threatening. His Cadillac Escalade and the rest of Woods’ life crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree. The accident took place near his Florida home. This brought a lot of uncertainty in Woods’s life, which included disputes with his friends.

Eventually, though, Woods was able to recover and still remains a legend, but his friendship with Jordan and Barkley was never the same.
