“Not My Preferred Choice”: Brother Seth Gets Honest About “Enjoying” Playing Away From Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry and Seth Curry have, interestingly, never been on the same side of an NBA match. The two brothers grew up playing against each other and have not left that to this day. Seth has played for teams like Portland Trail Blazers, Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Brooklyn Nets.

Steph has spent his entire career with the Golden State Warriors. Seth was briefly seen in the Warriors jersey when he got a rookie contract but never played a regular season game.

Seth Curry played for the Santa Cruz Warriors during his rookie season but never got a chance to suit up with his brother. The Curry brothers are known to be elite shooters and met each other in the Western Conference Finals in 2019. The two went back and forth and also trashed talked with each other. Seth is not a fan of the idea of playing with his brother in the NBA.

It may just be a dream for those who are a fan of both the Curry brothers to watch them play for the same team. It is highly unlikely that Steph will leave the Warriors after he won championship number 4.

Stephen Curry has solidified his legacy with the Golden State Warriors. Winning 4 championships, 2 MVPs, 1 Finals MVP, and 1 All-Star MVP, Curry may be the greatest Warrior ever.

Seth Curry is unwilling to play with his elder brother as he is out to forge his own path in the NBA. The Brooklyn Nets player wishes to stay out of his brother’s shadow. Seth has steadily improved from his first season.

Seth Curry said, “You never know what the future holds. I wouldn’t bet against it, but it’s definitely not my preferred choice to be on the same team as him definitely right now. I also like competing against him and trying to beat the best.”

He went on to explain how he is creating a legacy of his own. Seth has learned to shoot from Hornets legend Dell and Warriors legend Steph, arguably the best two shooters in the NBA. The Curry family also includes their brother-in-law Damion Lee, who himself played with Stephen Curry, unlike Seth.
