While it has been nine years since James’ exit from the Heat, seemingly he still continues to be somewhat of an inspiration for his former teammate. Haslem recently credited LeBron for his longevity. However, fans were not too keen on praising Haslem for the same.

NBA fans disregard Udonis Haslem

At 42 years old, Udonis Haslem is the oldest active player in the NBA and the Miami Heat star mentioned LeBron James as the reason behind his great shape. According to Anthony Chiang from Miami Herald, Haslem stated that James is the reason he is still able to keep up with the younger players. Moreover, the Heat is known to make their players follow one of the toughest preseason routines in the league.

Udonis said, “I learned from ‘Bron years ago, the first thing I noticed was the way he takes care of his body and the weight room and things like that. I?ve been able to implement some of that. There?s no way I?m able to still be out here running and jumping and keeping up with these guys at 42 if I didn?t take care of my body in a certain way. So that was definitely something I took out of Bron’s book.”
