The tension between Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets keeps growing. The 12-time All-Star has been making headlines ever since the trade request. Durant reportedly wants to play for the Phoenix Suns or Miami Heat at first. However, it seems things have changed big time. The Slim Reaper wants to continue the offensive powerhouse trend. And he reportedly wants to run it back with either of his former teammates.
Two new teams are now apparently running on Durant’s mind. The former MVP wants to see himself with either the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia 76ers. Going back to his days in OKC, Durant can’t let go of James Harden. As for Boston, KD has been a mentor to Jayson Tatum. The two-time Finals MVP has held high praise for the young star. And after falling short in the Finals, Kevin Durant wants to fill in the pieces.

Likewise, NBA fans’ jaws dropped. They couldn’t contain their excitement as another lethal dynasty could be in the making.
Kevin Durant chooses new destinations
From history, KD isn’t new to being the final piece for a super team. His run with the Golden State Warriors was the biggest proof. Draymond Green himself said without the Slim Reaper, the Bay couldn’t get past LeBron James. Likewise, Durant has grown fond of his role. He has given NBA fans a shock after eyeing the Sixers and Celtics as possible destinations.
Lakers Coach Darvin Ham Unleashes Massive 4 Word LeBron James Warning on Younger NBA Roster
Last season, Philly made one of the biggest moves. Making a championship-worthy duo, they paired the Beard with MVP candidate Joel Embiid. They also added a tough defender in P.J. Tucker to strengthen both ends. However, adding the most lethal offensive weapon would arguably make the Sixers the most dangerous team. Three players who can easily score 30 points a night, this trio could break the league.

Moving onto Boston, there is potential to form the best attacking duo in the league. Jayson Tatum has evolved his game every season. Coming off a solid season putting up an average 27 points and 8 rebounds, the Celtics star is only growing. Moreover, his long stature helps him be a stellar defender.
Adding a star like Durant could make them an unstoppable duo. As Olympic teammates, they showcased their chemistry against the world. Now, we could see this duo give rise to the Boston Celtics once again.

However, the biggest factor remains to be the asking price. The Brooklyn Nets will suck out all the assets from either of the teams. The Celtics will likely have to lose both Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown. On the other hand, Philly might have to give up valuable young talents like Maxey and Thybulle.
While the move could change the entire complexion of the NBA, do you think the Celtics or Sixers should gamble on their future for KD? Let us know your views in the comments below.
