The last day of the regular season was not a disappointment for basketball fans. Though a majority of the main stars decided to sit out, the Minnesota Timberwolves managed to attract all the attention on their final regular season game. A sudden scuffle between 3-time DPOY and Wolves forward gave Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green a perfect opportunity to clap back.

Green was subject to criticism by the French center Rudy Gobert after the Warriors forward knocked out his teammate Jordan Poole in a practice session before the start of the season. Though the scuffle between the T-Wolves’ players was shocking, Green’s reply might have stolen the show.

Though the win might have given the Timberwolves a better position in the play-in, the team chemistry might have taken a shot. A timeout in the game between Timberwolves and the New Orleans Pelicans was enough for things to go haywire. A difference in opinion led Rudy Gobert to throw a punch at Wolves forward Kyle Anderson during the timeout.

Draymond Green and Jordan Poole had gone through a similar situation last year before the start of the season. Green who threw a punch at Poole in a practice session received a lot of hate from the Warriors fans and NBA buffs. However, things settled after Poole and Green got back on track to help the Warriors. Anyhow, the situation might not be the same between Kyle Anderson and Rudy Gobert.

All the above drama helped the 4x champion of the Warriors to have the last laugh. After Green threw a punch at his teammate back in October, 7’1 center Rudy Gobert tweeted” Insecurity is always loud” mocking the Warriors forward. However, it seems like the 2017 DPOY has gotten his sweet revenge. Draymond Green did not hold back after Gobert threw a punch at Anderson. The Warriors star tweeted the exact same words Gobert tweeted, clapping back at the French sensation.

Gobert did not waste any time after he was sent home by the Timberwolves organization. The center tweeted, “Emotions got the best of me today… I wanna apologize to the fans, the organization, and particularly to Kyle, who is someone that I truly love and respect as a teammate”. The Wolves might have surpassed a do-or-die situation in the play-in after a win today, however, the above situation between Anderson and Gobert will not be easy to avoid.
