Westbrook is a dynamic guard who can produce in every place. He is one of the best rebounding guards in the history of the sport. Taking over the mantle of the triple-double leader last season, Westbrook joined the Lakers in hopes of competing for a chip. Looking at the way that things are going, the Lakers are far off that mark. Many are blaming Westbrook for not fitting in.

However, he has NBA Legend Oscar Robertson’s trust who believes that Westbrook will work it out.

With the way that things have played out so far, it is safe to say the Lakers and Russ aren’t on the same page. Westbrook is yet to find a true role in the franchise. Hence, he isn’t looking like a great fit to most eyes.

However, Oscar Robertson believes that Russ is a smart athlete and he will figure things out. Moreover, he also thinks the Lakers have their way to go as well.

With Westbrook being the superstar addition, the blame is likely to go on his shoulder. He is yet to see his clear role, but it isn’t his fault. The Lakers have been hit with constant injuries which have forced Westbrook to adapt to different roles, and he has done a great job at it.

As a third scoring option, Russell Westbrook is putting up 19.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game. He has also cut down on his turnovers and increased his efficiency. He has made major sacrifices with LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the floor, and there is no doubt he will do what it takes to make things work.
