Winning the matchup against the Detroit Pistons was vital for the Los Angeles Lakers, who were on an embarrassing three-game losing streak. For a team with the worst scoring in the league, it should have been a piece of cake but it wasn’t even close. They had to overcome a 17-point deficit to come out victorious. However, the fight that broke out between Isaiah Stewart and LeBron James became much bigger than that.

With everyone giving their opinion on the matter, Gilbert Arenas has stepped in to warn Stewart about what could be the consequences of his actions towards King James. And it is safe to say, that he didn’t sugar coat it all.

What happened between LeBron James and Isaiah Thomas?

The game was slipping away from the Los Angeles Lakers as they lost their seven-point lead when it was halftime. It only went downhill from there and a few minutes into the third quarter, the Detroit Pistons were leading 75-66. It was then that the unthinkable happened. In an attempt to grab the rebound from a free throw, Bron swung his arm which hit Isaiah Stewart’s eye and left him bleeding.

Although Bron looked calm at the time, Stewart completely lost it. As things got more and more heated, he was seen charging towards LeBron and a major fight broke out. If officials, teammates, and security hadn’t stepped in, who knows what might have happened. As both of them faced ejections, fans and analysts had their own personal opinions on the matter.

It seems like former Lakers superstar Gilbert Arenas isn’t happy with Stewart unnecessarily losing his cool over something that was clearly not intentional. So, he started ranting about how big a mistake Stewart has made by picking a bone with the legend.

What did Gilbert Arenas have to say?

In a huge message that included mockery of Isaiah for what he had done, Arenas also wrote, “U can’t charge at the King like that on tv. You will be drug tested expeditiously…u probably haven’t read the memo on fight attempts in the NBA #1 don’t square up with King James ever.” And this was definitely not the worst part of what else he had to say about the Pistons’ power forward.

Unfortunately for James, this is the only support that he got after what transpired on the court tonight. Most fans sympathized with Stewart’s reaction and think that the way he reacted was quite justified. What are your thoughts on the matter?
