A 27-year-old Memphis Grizzlies star is arguably the most hated NBA star this season. The star engaged in trash talks against various stars like Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and several others. Additionally, he engaged in a violent act against LeBron James in Saturday’s game. Moreover, the duo’s pregame trash talk took the center stage and created massive hype. However, the Akron Hammer and his fans had the last laugh after the Grizzlies’ star’s surprising move after the game.

The LA side went off to a flying start to the game as they restricted the Memphis side to only 9 points in the first quarter. The Lakers continued their momentum and registered a comfortable 111-101 victory on Saturday. However, fans’ attention shifted toward Brooks for his trash talk after the game.

LeBron James has the last laugh

After the completion of game 3, ESPN’s senior reporter Tim MacMahon surprised the NBA world with his tweet. He revealed, Dillon Brooks declined an interview request. ‘I ain’t talking,’ he told me.” The response came in moments after he got ejected from the game with a flagrant foul 2.

The Grizzlies star engaged in a violent act when he hurt the Lakers superstar in his groin region. The referees immediately ejected the star. Brooks’ ejection further hampered the Grizzlies’ chances and Ja Morant’s fighting 45 points were eventually in vain.

MacMahon’s tweet surprised fans as Brooks had never shied away from the camera in the past. Notably, he made most of his trash talk during the after-game interviews.

In response to MacMahon’s tweet, fans swarmed the comments section, mocking the star for not agreeing with the interview. One user said, Part-time ‘tough’ guy.” Following are some reactions from NBA Twitter.

Dillon Brooks only managed to drop 7 points in his 19-minute game time. James won the points battle with 25 points. 

Currently, the Los Angeles Lakers lead the series 2-1 up and would look to seal the upcoming home game. The ongoing tussle between James and Brooks has created more hype for game 4. The Lakers have turned their fortunes around since All-Star week. Moreover, the fans have to wait to witness whether the Lakers will repeat their 2020 glory.
