LeBron James and Kevin Durant are two of the best players of this era. They are still playing like that in the earlier stages of their careers. And with that, their names are generally on top of MVP conversations. So sometimes, there is a chance that other players might be in the shadow and not get recognized for their efforts.

According to Paul Pierce, that is exactly what’s happening to DeMar DeRozan. DeRozan signed with the Chicago Bulls in the offseason and he has instantly turned them into title contenders. He has been averaging 28.1 points on 51 percent shooting and the Bulls are tied for the best record in the East. But he is not one of the leading runners for the MVP award. Paul Pierce joined Kevin Garnett on his podcast to talk about the season. Pierce opens up about how DeRozan is not getting his props for his play this season.
