After suffering a frustrating defeat in round one, a top-seeded team engaged in locker-room violence. Meanwhile, the team’s loss also proved NBA legend Charles Barkley wrong.

The Philadelphia 76ers legend has been a beloved analyst ever since his retirement. Over the years, he has made various questionable statements through his shows. This time around, Barkley’s prediction went out of the window after the game between the Purdue Boilermakers and Fairleigh Dickinson Knights. Notably, Chuck made his way to the NBA with his brilliant performance at the collegiate level.

The Purdue Boilermakers entered March Madness as the top-seeded side in the tournament. However, the team had a disappointing game in the first round against the 16th-seeded Knights. The Knights knocked off Purdue with a tight 63-58 finish during the Friday game. After the frustrating exit, an absurd locker room image surfaced on the internet. The image featured a heavily damaged whiteboard in the Purdue dressing room. The fans flooded the comments section of the image with hilarious opinions. Moreover, the frustrating defeat proved Charles Barkley’s NCAA predictions wrong.

Chuck expected a faceoff between the Memphis Tigers and Purdue in the second round. While analyzing the tournament in a CBS zoom call, he said, “I got Memphis beating Purdue in the second round.” However, the team failed to make it past the first round. Additionally, Chuck had made his pick for the tournament champions this season.

Surprisingly, it’s not his alma mater, Auburn, but the Alabama Crimson Tide. However, fans have to wait to know if Chuck got his pick right this time.
