This situation tensions Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers has been turning into another James Harden and Houston Rockets situation. After their poor outing in the last season, Simmons was at the center of all the criticism. Everybody was pretty certain that Ben will be saying his goodbyes to the franchise in the offseason. A report about Simmons openly asking to be traded and declaring he will not be showing up for training camp was the first sign of things blowing out of proportion. And eventually, Embiid was dragged into the conversation. There were rumors about Embiid being unhappy with Ben and that they were having problems with one another even before their playoff exit. However, Joel has come out to set the record straight.

Joel Embiid bashes media for putting out incorrect details

He explained how Ben wasn’t the only one to blame for their poor season. He wrote, “Sources “Trust me bro”!! Stop using my name to push people’s agendas. I love and hate drama. I love playing with Ben. Stats don’t lie. He’s an amazing player, and we all didn’t get the job done. It’s on me personally. I hope everyone is back cuz we know we’re good enough to win.”
