76ers’ Joel Embiid Shares an Incredible Record with Charles Barkley and Wilt Chamberlain

Joel Embiid is playing with a chip on his shoulder this season. Over the last few seasons, he has constantly been criticized for not leading the 76ers to an NBA title. However, in the 2021 NBA season, Embiid and the 76ers might just win it all.
So far, Embiid has been one of the best players in the league on both ends of the court. In fact, Embiid is making the case for being named this year’s regular season MVP. Embiid is averaging a staggering 28.3 points and 11.1 rebounds per game, all while shooting 54.4% from the field and 40.4% from beyond the arc.
“The Process” continued his impeccable form tonight as he led the 76ers to a comfortable 118-94 victory over the Timberwolves. Following his excellent game, Joel Embiid entered the 76ers’ history books.

He finished the game with 37 points along with 11 boards and became only the third player in Sixers’ history to average 35 and 10 over a five game span.

Apart from Joel, only NBA legends Charles Barkley and Wilt Chamberlain have managed to achieve this feat in their careers with the 76ers. But can Embiid continue his form when the playoffs arrive? We will find that out in the upcoming months.
