It’s bad news from the clinic for the Philadelphia 76ers, whose recent addition, Seth Curry, has been tested positive for the coronavirus. The news came right after their loss to the Brooklyn Nets. In fact, even Ben Simmons has been put into quarantine and contact tracing is underway. This could be really bad for the NBA, which has made so much of an effort to conduct games during this pandemic.

As soon as the news of his positive result came, he was immediately isolated into a room, separate from the rest of the team and away from the arena. However, the scary part is that before the news came, he spent the first quarter of their game against the Nets on the bench with his teammates.

Curry was ruled out of this matchup because of an ankle injury. So, for most of the game, he was the only player sitting in the front row. But for precautionary reasons, the entire Nets team and the Sixers will have to go into quarantine as well. This also includes the team they played a day before, the Washington Wizards.

The biggest setback for Philly was their inability to shoot from the arc. So, their entire focus this offseason was to bring in players that could fix that problem. This led to them bringing in Danny Green and Seth Curry. So far, the Sixers are having a fantastic season and are leading the east with a 7-2 record.

In an interview with Seth, he was asked what has his experience been so far playing with Simmons. He said, “It’s been good. It’s kind of like a perfect match. He’s playing a bigger point guard, 6’10 or whatever, who can guard multiple positions.

“And I am a smaller guard, scorer, shooter, who can spread the floor for him. So, so I can guard point guards, so it’s a good match. I mean he is a guy who can push the ball in transition, post-up if they switch, roll and rush to the guy.” He stated. “It’s still early in the season and I am still trying to figure out how it is playing with them, playing with Joel.”
