During an appearance on TNT Tuesday’s Give Them Their Roses section, Isiah Thomas shared a story about a family crisis when he was coaching an All-Star game in Atlanta. Thomas disclosed that his daughter had gone through a knee surgery after a brutal accident at the time. The two-time NBA champ added that it was questionable if his daughter would ever play again.

Meanwhile, Isiah Thomas revealed that after winning his All-Star ring, Shaq made a powerful gesture that positively transformed his family’s life. Thomas stated, “Shaq didn’t even know this. But he takes his All-Star ring and he gives it to my daughter.”
“And that moment to this day has been one of the most powerful moments in her life and our family life…You[to Shaq] have no idea what you did for her and what you did for our family on that day. And it still resonates, so thank you brother,” Thomas added.
