“Pipe the F**K Down It’s a Business”: Slamming the Door Shut on Major NBA All Star Move to Lakers Didn’t End Well for Enraged Father on TWITTER

It seems it is not all water under the bridge for this basketball dad, who seems to be still wounded by what the Los Angeles Lakers did to his son. LaVar Ball recently announced that he wouldn’t dream of his other son, NBA All-Star LaMelo Ball, joining the Lakers. However, NBA Twitter soon exploded with fans demanding that LaVar stay out of it, telling him to understand how the NBA business works.
LaVar Ball, the father to LaMelo Ball and Lonzo Ball, may be operating from the axiom of ‘all in or all out’. In 2017, Lonzo was selected by the Lakers with a second overall draft pick. Things were looking good until the Lakers eventually traded him to the New Orleans Pelicans to get Anthony Davis into their lineup. Notably, LaVar Ball did not take this decision too kindly.

There has been a lot of chatter recently that LaMelo Ball could join the Lakers. ESPN’s Ray Williams said, “When I look at LaMelo Ball, I see nothing but purple and gold“. However, LaVar quickly shut down any speculation that would tie his son to the Lakers.

The Ball brothers become less and less relevant as each day passes. The Hype behind the name is dropping. It’s called business. Suck it up

It is a business bro 😭 be glad that another team wanted Lonzo and he wasn’t just a throw in.

None of the Ball brothers can stay healthy. We don’t want either.

Really because I remember him insisting all three brothers would play on the Lakers

LaVar Ball spoke to Complex Sports and said, “Common sense would tell you, hell no. You did something to my boy Lonzo, and you think I’m going to come back with the others? I gotta be stone-cold crazy“. He admitted that there was a time that it could have been a possibility. But following Lonzo’s exit from the team, LaVar seemingly wants nothing to do with the Lakers anymore.
According to LaVar, “coaches didn’t know how to play LeBron and Lonzo together“. He did not believe that LeBron James was at fault for his son’s sudden departure.
Where are the Ball brothers now in the NBA?
Lonzo Ball has since moved on to another team with the Chicago Bulls. Unfortunately, Lonzo has not played this season owing to a knee injury.

LaMelo Ball is currently playing for the Charlotte Hornets. He has grabbed many eyeballs, even Michael Jordan christened him as his favorite player. But injuries have plagued him, too, this season. However, unlike his brother, he has not had a total absence from the NBA this season. He has played seven games so far and has been averaging 23.1 points, 7.4 assists, and 3.4 rebounds.
Furthermore, LaVar Ball’s third son, LiAngelo Ball, plays for the Greensboro Swarm, which is the Hornets’ G League affiliate.
