Michael Jordan and Larry Bird were iconic faces in the NBA back in the late 80s and early 90s. The Boston Celtics legend was already a multiple-time NBA Champion when Jordan entered the league. The Chicago Bulls no. 23 was an instant sensation and rose through the ranks pretty quickly. Hence, everyone wanted the best players in the world on the same court, or maybe just together. The fast food chain McDonald’s managed to achieve that by featuring two legends in the same commercial alongside Philadelphia 76ers legend Charles Barkley.?

The iconic commercial had both MJ and Bird taking hilarious digs at Barkley while betting on a ‘Big Mac’. The duo could be seen nonchalantly shutting down all of Barkley’s entreaties to play ball with them.

McDonald’s hilarious commercial starring Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Charles Barkley

Back in 1994, McDonald’s wanted to create an iconic commercial with the best basketball players on the planet. They decided to choose the legendary Larry Bird , MJ and Charles Barkley to create a comical encounter. A recent post from basketball page The Jordan Rules on Twitter resurfaced the video to NBA fans.

In the commercial, Bird and MJ could be seen discussing attempting increasingly difficult trickshots for two ‘Big Macs’. In the midst of the discussion Barkley popped up on the screen from nowhere several times, begging them to let him join their contest.

Please, pretty Please!” screamed Barkley from the cockpit of an airplane while MJ and Bird attempted shots to the basket. The duo just hilariously kept denying Barkley of any opportunity to join them in playing ball. The minute long clip was just the duo comically deciding their trickshots, sometimes even from the space.?
