Damian Lillard as a child was a skating enthusiast who soon immersed himself in the game of basketball. The Californian completed his sophomore year schooling from the same institution where legendary Jason Kidd went. Later, he represented the Oakland Rebels at AAU and made his name early with his backspin layups and flawless jump shots.

But not every kid gets to wear such glorious hats early in their life, and Dame recognizes it. So whenever he gets time, he utilizes it to bring a joyful smile to a kid’s face. No wonder his latest rap song, Dame D.O.L.L.A. – We the Ones drew a parallel between childhood and adulthood.

Damian Lillard made a young fan’s day

Recently, a young fan named Diego tagged Damian Lillard in a Twitter post and demanded his review. Diego was wearing a #0 jersey that looked similar to the color combinations of the Blazers. To the post, the Big Game Dame reacted in a way that surely gave the young fan a reason to flex at school.

In one of his IG posts, Dame had mentioned how being a dad is “The best job in the world”. Turns out the 6x NBA All-Star is really cool with kids and leaves out no opportunity to put a smile on their face. True, his ways do not align with Russell Westbrook’s giveaway of game-worn sneakers, the Blazers star has his own style of contributing.

When Dame did the same for a kid diagnosed with cancer

Back in 2016, a seventh-grade kid named Scott Baisden got diagnosed with cancer. Amidst the struggles of going through chemotherapy as a young child, Scott’s life changed when his hospital asked him to make a wish. Just as he sent it out in the universe that he wanted to spend a day with Damian Lillard, it all became dreamy.

He actually got to meet his idol and practice shooting with one of the greatest shooters of all time. The Blazers family treated him like a superstar, carrying him in Limo and allowing him to meet players at the lunch table.
