Powerhouse Shaquille O’Neal Got Arrested for Knocking Out Royal Guards to Win $50,000 and Used David Beckham to Escape

Shaquille O’Neal is someone who has always done whatever he wants. Shaq lives on his own terms and seems to have fun at all times. Even in his playing days, he was always fun to be around. You could sense that most of Shaq’s teammates enjoyed his company.

After his retirement, his entertainment has arguably only increased. He has featured in multiple Hollywood movies and has done some hilarious roles in the comedy genre. Shaq is naturally funny, which is why his relationship with Charles Barkley on ‘Inside the NBA’ is just another example of his hysterical character.

This does not stop there. Shaq’s comic timing is also quite amazing. He always seems to be cracking jokes and he loves to make people laugh.

Shaquille O’Neal messed with the ‘royal guards’

On ‘The Late Night Show with James Cordon’, the Los Angeles Lakers legend shared the experience of his visit to England. He was with his friend, who bet him $50,000 that he can’t force the royal guards to move. Now for Shaq, it was a challenge he just had to win. 

“My friend bet me fifty thousand I couldn’t make the guards move. So because they stand very still outside guarding the palace. I will go up to him and I’ll go [making funny gestures]. So then last time I bumped them and they came out of nowhere right. So they took me in some back room and I actually used your [Victoria Beckham] husband’s name to get out.” Shaq said. 

“I said listen David Beckham is your guy over here, I’m the black David Beckham of the States. So tell Prince Charles that the black David Beckham, Shaquille O’Neal is sorry, he apologized, and it never happened again. So I don’t know if it worked but the guy came in like 10 minutes later and they let me go.” he added.
