LeBron James is one of the longest-tenured players in NBA history. James has been in the NBA for 18 seasons so far. What is more amazing is that he has been a regular All-Star and MVP contender for 17 of those 18 seasons. Even at age 36, James continues to prove he is one of the greatest ever. And now, he holds a distinct record once again, albeit not of his own creation.

LBJ trading card sells for big money

LeBron James‘ 2004-05 sophomore trading card was put up for auction recently. It was sold for a staggering $1.2 million by Goldin Auctions. It is now the highest-grossing LeBron James trading card made after the 2003-04 NBA season.

However, while the trading card sold for a lot of money, it still pales in comparison to James’ rookie card. LeBron James’ rookie trading card, which included a piece of his 2003-04 Cleveland Cavaliers jersey, was sold last year in an auction for a record $1.8 million. It is the most expensive trading card to be sold in an online auction.
