There are not a lot of things one could joke about NBA legend Michael Jordan. Of course, him crying in the public has been a meme for years now. Other than that, Jordan’s fashion is something the fans troll. Sure, the NBA fashion was not the same at the time. Almost everyone was wearing baggy suits when he played. In fact, that was the case for many years. However, things have changed now. The current generation of players take extra care with what they wear.

Now, a rare photo of Michael Jordan during his Wizards days was shared on Twitter. And MJ was wearing baggy jeans which were cuffed and a baggy turtle neck tucked in. He was also sporting his iconic earring. And not so surprisingly the fans are poking fun at the legend.

However, maybe that was a style statement from the all-time great. He definitely didn’t care what people talked about his style back then, and wouldn’t care now.

Michael Jordan for the Wizards

The photo revealing Jordan’s unique style was taken during his time with the Wizards. When Jordan came out from retirement for the second time, he was 38 years old. Not many would even consider coming back at this age. Before coming back, he was the team’s president of basketball operations. So before joining the active roster he stepped down from the role.

“I am returning as a player to the game I love because during the last year and a half, as a member of Washington Wizards’ management, I enjoyed working with our players, and sharing my own experiences as a player,”?Jordan said.

However, his second comeback wasn’t as successful as his first for the Chicago Bulls. In his two seasons for the Wizards, they didn’t clinch a playoff spot.

Even though age and injuries caused a lot of trouble, he still averaged 22.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game in his first season back. In his final season, he played all 82 games of the season. And averaged 20.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. He also bettered his shot percentage that season compared to the season prior.

Even after the two mediocre seasons for a legend like him, his career averages are still mind-boggling. Michael Jordan averages 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game in 1072 career games. He has led the Bulls to 6 NBA titles and has also won 6 Finals MVP awards and 5 NBA MVP awards.
