There are a number of players in the league who are absolutely clutch during end-game situations. And there have been more than a few in the past as well. NBA greats like Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and many more made it a calling card of theirs during their time in the league. Two more players who arguably always came through in the clutch were Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. But who would you trust in the final seconds of a game?
This age-old question has been debated by fans, analysts, and even players for a long time. But for the most part, the decision usually ended up splitting in the middle with half going with Kobe and the other half going with Jordan.

He captioned that image with, “Who taking last shot game on the line? Still can’t believe Mamba not here Rest easy Goat.”
But apparently, the choice wasn’t just between Kobe and Mike. Pierce included himself in the list of options as well and got roasted hard by fans for it. One fan even replied, “You deserve a ten year prison sentence for this tweet.” Another fan commented, “Please stop putting yourself in these debates. It’s getting really hard to stand up for you in these debates.”

Fans not only trolled Pierce but seemed a little outraged that he decided to put himself in the same category as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
How good was Paul Pierce?
No doubt, Bryant and Jordan were two of the most clutch players in NBA history. They’ve put their teams on their backs and carried them to the finish line numerous times. But what people tend to forget is, Paul Pierce arguably did the same thing for the Boston Celtics throughout his career as well.

Even though Pierce did not win as many accolades as the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls legends respectively, when it comes to making clutch shots, ‘The Truth’ was no stranger to pressure during crunch time. One of the coldest moments perhaps was his game-winner over Al Harrington.

Pierce held the ball for the final shot, all the while talking trash to Harrington, who was considered an elite defender at the time. The referee too asked them to quit it but Pierce was locked in. He took a side-step three to win the playoff game.
