The All-Star Game took place the home of the Clippers and the Lakers. Singer Rihanna performed at the halftime show along with Kanye West and Drake. It was the 5th time that LA hosted the game and 2nd time to be held in the same arena.

Scottie Pippen in the 2011 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

The 6oth edition of the All-Star Game took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The starters was chosen through fan votes and the reserves were chosen through the votes of the NBA head coaches.

The Western Conference starters were Kobe Bryant (G), with the highest number of votes, Carmelo Anthony (F), Kevin Durant (F), Chris Paul (G) and Tim Duncan (C) replaced by Yao Ming. The Eastern Conference starters were Dwight Howard(C) with the most votes, LeBron James(F), Dwayne Wade (G), Derrick Rose(G) and Amar’e Stoudemire (F).

The Western Conference swept the Eastern Conference by 148-143 , with Kobe Bryant named as the All-Star MVP. The Mamba had 37 points, 14 rebounds and 3 steals. LeBron followed Bryant with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

Prior to the All-Star Game, the All-Star Celebrity Game was played the same weekend. The West team members had singer Justin Bieber, and several others with NBA legend Magic Johnson as their head coach. While, the East team had Scottie Pippen, Mitch Richmond, Chris Mullin and others with NBA player Bill Walton as their head coach.

At the end, Bieber led his team to win by 54-49 but the main highlight of the game was Pippen’s third-quarter block of the singer.

Arnold Schwarzenegger?s Partnership With LeBron James

It is no secret that Arnold Schwarzenegger is a big time Los Angeles Lakers fan. But, he is even a bigger fan of Lakers player LeBron James. According to PEOPLE, Schwarzenegger and LeBron bonded through their mutual love for humanity, as both has helped various charity organizations and continue to do so.

“I got to know LeBron…not only the one that you see on television when he plays the game…but the character of the guy,” Schwarzenegger said to PEOPLE.

Additionally, the Lakers forward recently came together with Schwarzenegger and co-founded a supplement company Ladder. The duo formed a friendship after LeBron started attending Arnold’s All-Stars fundraisers. From there, they got to talking about their philanthropy work. According to Schwarzenegger, LeBron really wanted to give back to the community and help underprivileged kids.
