While Stephen Curry might have been one of the best players in the league in 2016, he got Kobe Bryant‘s autograph. This happened during the 2016 All-Star game when the Golden State Warriors man and Kobe played together.

Interestingly enough, the two players have a lot of respect for each other. When Curry was still yet to win an MVP award or a championship, Kobe Bryant recognized his talent. He said, “I see a calmness about him. I think that’s something a lot of players don’t understand. The fans, it’s really hard for the fans to understand what I’m saying. Most players don’t get it. But there’s a serious calmness about him, which is extremely deadly.”

After the unfortunate death of Bryant, Curry delivered a heartfelt message for The Mamba before a game against the Boston Celtics. He said, “We all understood how much basketball meant to him and how he pushed the game to new heights and we are all better for it for sure.”

The two faced off against each other 15 times in the regular season. Bryant had 9 wins over Curry. Playing against Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant averaged 26.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. On the other hand, Curry averaged 22.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.3 assists.
