The Golden State Warriors beat the Boston Celtics in Game 6 on Thursday to become the NBA Champions. The crowd in Boston was up to its usual raucous self, hoping their team could win the coveted 18th Championship. It wasn’t meant to be as the Warriors handled the business professionally showing why they have won 4 titles in the last 8 years. There was a whole host of celebrities at the game expecting to see a spectacle.

Hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy above their heads, the Warriors were buoyant after winning 3 straight games to seal the series. Boston is known to be a difficult place for opponents due to the loud and fierce crowd. Winning the title there would have been extra special for the Golden State players after enduring some rough moments throughout the series.

Celebrities show up to support the Boston Celtics

Along with the roaring crowd at the TD Garden, a lot of celebrities also showed up to watch the game. Former Celtics Eddie House and Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis were present alongside legend Ray Allen. There was support from fellow sportsmen from Boston as well. New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft attended the game alongside Patriots players Devin McCourty and Damien Harris.

Boston Bruins’ Patrice Bergeron, Charlie McAvoy, Connor Clifton, and Nick Foligno were also there to support their fellow Bostonians. Golfer Rory McIlroy, along with baseballer Albert Pujols enjoyed the game too.

Rap superstars Gucci Mane and G-Eazy were also in the arena. Gucci Mane is a regular at the Celtics’ games as he is close to Celtics forward, Jaylen Brown. It was a spectacle worth the biggest game for the Boston Celtics after a long time.

Warriors shut the noise

The Golden State Warriors came into this game knowing the Celtics recovered from a similar situation against the Milwaukee Bucks in the Conference Semifinals. Boston came out all guns blazing and took a double-digit lead early in the game. However, the Warriors quickly turned the game around with a pivotal 21-0 run.

The Celtics could not recover from that huge run and were left chasing the game. Steph Curry?was awarded the Finals MVP for his excellent performances throughout the series.

Jaylen Brown lead the team with 34 points and Al Horford made a lot of big baskets on his way to 19 points. Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum, who had been very well marshaled till now, was held to a meager 13 points. It was a series to forget for the All-NBA forward and he will be hoping to bounce back from this disappointment.

The Warriors weren’t favored before the series began, but they proved their championship pedigree at the end. There is no reason why these teams cannot meet at this stage again in the future.
