After claiming the first championship in his career in 1990, Jordan was called to the White House for the ritual of having lunch with the President of the USA. When asked why he skipped lunch in an interview with Playboy, he gave a very savage reply. He said that “I didn?t want to go. I had something else to do.”?

He added, “I may not agree with what people want me to do. Who gives a damn? They don?t live the life that I try to live. Do I ask them why they go to the bathroom?”?

Being a celebrity is never easy

Michael Jordan said that being a celebrity is not easy. He would be willing to trade lives with anyone who says otherwise, he said. Moreover, getting used to being a celebrity by the end of the fourth year, he also understood that he couldn’t continue living life according to others’ opinions. He said that he started caring less and less about people’s opinions, as clearly seen in his reply to declining the POTUS’ invitation.
