It’s signing season in the NBA right now, and the Lakers are making some big money moves. The Los Angeles Lakers have been in the news for signing LeBron James to a $97 million two-year extension. Now, it is reported that the Lakers are interested in adding depth in the point guard department, and Patrick Beverley is a potential suitor.

Notably, Patrick has a bad reputation in the NBA for constantly pestering his opponents with trash-talking. He once even had a major beef with the Warriors, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant.

In the past, Beverly has engaged in several trash-talking scuffles with Curry both on Twitter and on the court. He once called out the Warriors for cheating the game and promised Curry that his time was over. Curry has since then won a Finals MVP and his fourth NBA Championship, while Beverly got traded from the Clippers to the Timberwolves and then was sent to Utah.

Durant’s departure put the Warriors in a bleak spot where they fell to the bottom of the leaderboard. When the Clippers visited, Barkley?reminded?them that their dynastic run was over. He took the chance to beef with Kevin Durant and took shots on KD as well.?

Now, LeBron James and the Lakers are looking into Beverly, and the possible reason could be precisely his ability to feud on the court. Beverly pours his heart out on the court, and that kind of effort is something that the Lakers have lacked off late.

Patrick Beverley really hated the Warriors during the Kevin Durant era. The Warriors would obliterate any team in the West and the Clippers were one of them. Beverly took the opportunity to trash-talk Curry and KD when KD left and the Clippers defeated the Warriors in the regular season.

Beverley reportedly told Curry, ?You had the last five years, the next five years are mine.?

He also tweeted to KD saying, “Yal can sit and don?t say nothing but that ain?t cool. It?s dudes with families out here who haven?t got a job because of this KD sh*t. And to be on and off ain?t cool. Blessing Gang.”
