Dan Woike and Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times wrote, “Meanwhile, the Lakers are trying to find help, though their option appears limited. According to people with knowledge of the situation, the team is shopping 21-year-old Talen Horton-Tucker in trade discussions.”

Horton-Tucker is currently in his third season at the franchise. The Orlando Magic traded him to the Lakers in 2019. He hasn’t enjoyed many minutes at the franchise despite significantly improving his play style and form for the team. This, along with the Lakers’ lack of attacking options, has led to an uncertain future for Horton-Tucker at Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ most extraordinary trade

Lakers made one of the most beneficial trades to their franchise in 1996. Originally, the Charlotte Hornets drafted Kobe Bryant in the 1996 NBA Draft. According to the Hornets’ head scout at the time, they agreed to trade their no.13 pick to the Lakers. They instructed the Hornets to pick Kobe as their choice.

A teenage Kobe who was 17 at the time of the trade signed with the Los Angeles franchise with his parents consigning his contract. The franchise signed Kobe to a three-year contract worth $3.5 million at the time.
