The Dallas Mavericks are on the lookout for attacking options. Luka Doncic’s side needs some backup options, in case one of them has an off night. Toronto Raptors’ Kyle Lowry was a shining spark in the side’s lackluster outing last year. Averaging over 17 points, the guard can be a key asset to any side that acquires him. And the Mavericks have their eyes open.

Kyle Lowry is one of the most experienced players to still feature in the NBA. Having dominated the league for over 15 years, it is no surprise that more than one team still desires Lowry. The 35-year-old was part of the Memphis Grizzlies and the Houston Rockets, before making his name with the Raptors. Lowry’s best season came in 2017, when he averaged over 22 points.

In a late bid, the Dallas Mavericks have reportedly made Kyle Lowry a priority after the 2021 NBA Draft. According to Marc Stein, league sources have claimed that the side wants to re-sign Tim Hardaway Jr, and also acquire Lowry. With Dallas not being the only side that has shown interest in Lowry, the battle will be on.

Lakers, Pelicans also interested in the Raptors star

The free agent market will erupt with the inclusion of Kyle Lowry. The six-time All-star has immaculate capabilities on both ends of the court, and his experience can be vital for the next generation. Aside from the Mavericks, Frank Vogel and the Los Angeles Lakers have shown interest in Lowry.

The yellow army has apparently expressed interest in the wily competitor, and inside sources have also claimed that Lowry himself has shown intent to play for the Lakers. Another side in the fray are the New Orleans Pelicans, who have cleared up space for the acquisition of Kyle Lowry. Provided the player gives a thumbs up on joining the Pelicans, they would be open to going all in for the veteran. An outer possibility is the Philadelphia 76ers, but there is nothing concrete on the same as of now.
