With the NBA season right around the corner, training camp has begun for many teams. One team to look out for will be LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Recently, big news came up about their All-Star duo.
LeBron and Anthony Davis are the original duo that resided in LA. They even won a championship in their first season together in 2020. But, last season they couldn’t make it far because of injuries to each of them. Now James’ agent, Rich Paul, gave up big news on them.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis position change
Rich Paul is a close friend of the ‘King’ and is also an agent. He covers several athletes, including athletes outside the NBA. Reports are coming up that he told other agents at the Chicago combine that LeBron and AD will play at the 4 and 5, respectively.
LeBron has been the point guard on the Lakers since coming in. However, he is originally a small forward. With the recent reports, Bron will now be starting at power forward next season. The main reason for this comes to be the signing of Russell Westbrook. He will take the point guard spot for the Lakers.

Anthony Davis has been playing at power forward for the Lakers. While he has played center for them on some occasions, power forward has been his primary position. But, while with the Pelicans, he played at the five most of the time.
Davis has found success while being at center. On the other hand, LeBron has been a forward for all his career. So this change seems to be good for them. But, can it work for the Lakers?

Will this change work for the Lakers
LeBron James took point guard for purple and gold, mainly because of his playmaking abilities. Now they have one of the best people at the job in Russell Westbrook who averaged 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists last season. In addition, their backup point guard is Rajon Rondo, who knows how to run an offense as well.

Davis is one of the best post players in the league. He is also a top big man, so this change will surely work for the Lakers to have a young center. This move will also add to the depth that the Lakers have for the center position with Dwight Howard and DeAndre Jordan coming from the bench.
