After battling pancreatic cancer for months, the legendary talk show host Jerry Springer recently passed away at the age of 79. The news has shattered the hearts of millions of people, including Shaquille O’Neal‘s youngest daughter, Me’Arah O’Neal, who rushed to social media to mourn the passing of the TV veteran.
Me’Arah O’Neal has been keeping her father’s basketball legacy alive. It has only been some hours since a snippet of Me’Arah’s basketball skills did rounds on the Internet. However, the news of the passing of Jerry Springer soon hit her and the young basketball sensation joined millions of other fans to pay her respects to the legend.

Shaquille O’Neal is a man of many talents. Jerry Springer was no different. Donning the hat of a talk show host, Springer redefined television. The bizarre sight of couples, friends and family members fighting each other as a clown juggles a set of bowling pins in the background has been etched in the minds of Americans across the country. Despite dealing with content that might not be ‘politically correct‘ all the time, Springer won the hearts of people as a consummate entertainer.

He was also a member of the Cincinnati City Council and had served as the Mayor of Cincinnati as well. Apart from his stint as a talk show host, the veteran showman had also mesmerized millions by starring in a few films and appearing on certain TV series. After completing 27 seasons of his iconic talk show, Springer debuted in a new courtroom show Judge Jerry in 2019 and hosted it till 2022.

According to a family spokesperson, Jerry Springer was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer few months prior to his death. The veteran succumbed to his ailment at the age of 79. The Shade Room acknowledged Springer’s death in their post on Instagram. “We are sending our deepest condolences to the loved ones of legendary television host #JerrySpringer,” the captioned read. Shaquille O’Neal’s daughter was quick to notice the post and shared it on her story. She wrote “noooo” on the caption, coupled with sad emojis.

On the Instagram post about Jerry Springer’s death, it has been highlighted that Springer’s battle with cancer turned the worst this week. The veteran show host was at his home in Illinois while he drew his last breath. Shocked by the tragedy, one fan after another took to Instagram and expressed their prayers for Jerry Springer. “R.I.P Jerry, you will be missed! My condolences…,” a fan commented.
