NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is one of the funniest guys in the NBA. In the recent episode of ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’, NBA legend Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith was a special guest. And when Nischelle Turner introduced the Rockets legend, she said that he is someone who knows Shaq intimately. The ‘Big Aristotle’ looked stunned at this and said that nobody knows him intimately. However, Smith admitted that intimate “might be a real word” with Shaq and him.

And he proceeded to tell the story of how Shaquille O’Neal and he became brothers. He said, “You know because when you are with your brother, you have no shame whatsoever.” Kenny said that he has always been close to Shaq like a cousin, however, not like a brother. Smith said that he and Shaq are the only two who were health conscious from the ‘NBA on TNT’ crew and that they would work out after shooting.

He continued, “So he’s like, ‘Kenny come here for a second. Could you just grab this for me? I’m in here working out.’ I’m like ‘Okay, no problem.’ I came into the room. And he’s on the exercise bike which is not unusual. Unless you’re bu** naked except for your underwear on!.. He didn’t even flinch. I was like, ‘He is truly my brother. He does not care about anything.'”

Shaquille O’Neal off the court

Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most fierce players ever. During his prime, he dominated the game as no other big men have. He played with power and his opponents had no answer. Straight from college, Shaq dominated the league right from his rookie year. Over the course of his career, O’Neal has won 4 NBA titles. He helped the Los Angeles Lakers to 3 titles and won the Finals MVP award in the process. Shaq then won another ring with the Miami Heat.

During his time with the Lakers, the ‘Big Diesel’ had beef with young Kobe Bryant. Even though the duo won 3 rings together, the issues were just too much. And Shaq had to leave the Lakers for the Heat. However, the duo patched things up later on.

While dominating on the court, he was a comedian off it. His antics with fellow legend Charles Barkley on ‘NBA on TNT’ has a separate fan base in itself. Also, multiple teammates of the Lakers legend have said that he is the comedian of the locker room. The professional league comes with its own pressures, especially when it isn’t going according to plan. So Shaq did whatever he could to lighten the mood.
