In the absence of LeBron James, center-forward Anthony Davis has been leading the Lakers’ charge. Despite LA’s inconsistent results, Davis has been a constant on the scoring charts. For years together now, AD has been a trusted player for his franchises. This has earned him numerous accolades, including a spot on the NBA’s 75th Anniversary team. But according to former Houston Rockets All-star Tracy McGrady, fellow Laker Dwight Howard deserves a spot over the 28-year-old.

The Lakers #3, Davis has been shouldering responsibilities for Frank Vogel and co. this year. In his side’s campaign thus far, the powerhouse has averaged close to 25 points and nearly 12 rebounds. He ranks 12th and 7th respectively, for the same. Before joining the men in yellow, Davis had a solid set of years with the Pelicans, where he was a bankable forward. Consistently amassing 20+ points as well as a bucket-load of rebounds over the years, it is only natural that Davis is considered among the league’s best.
