Following the Lakers’ obvious struggles this year, NBA veteran Russell Westbrook has come under the scanner. The guard has been under massive pressure to perform but hasn’t lived up to his bidding thus far. Ever since then, fans and analysts have questioned his spot on the roster. Finally, addressing his trade rumors after days, the 33-year-old has made some stunning revelations.

In the view to build an experienced lineup, Lakers owner Jeanie Buss roped in Russell Westbrook. At the end of the previous edition of the league, Westbrook spoke with fellow Lakers LeBron James and Anthony Davis, in the hope to unite. Needless to say, their talks resulted in them forming a deadly trio. Yet, the Lakers sit in 7th position and have failed to show consistency. With Davis out and LeBron in hot form, the questionable piece in the puzzle is Westbrook.

At 18.7 points, Russell Westbrook’s average has been shockingly low this year. In addition, his ratios from the field won’t do him any favors either. However, it is safe to say that the entire aging LA setup has been under par. Barring ‘King’ LeBron, close to nobody has shone. With so many stars over the age of 30, injuries and rust have had their roles to play.

Over the past days, numerous reports have emerged, regarding potential destinations for the #0. With several franchises popping up on the interested list, things have gotten heated. Subsequently, the 9-time All-star has responded to all these rumors. “I never worry. Do the job. Be professional,” he said. “Every year, my name is in trade rumors.
