In 2020, the world was left stunned when NBA legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash in Thousand Oaks, California. The group was en route to Gianna’s basketball game at the Mamba Sports Academy when the helicopter crashed due to foggy conditions, resulting in the loss of all passengers on board. Among those killed were the pilot Ara Zobayan, and family members and friends of the Bryants, including Alyssa and Payton, Gianna’s teammates, and Christina Mauser, a coach on the basketball team.

Kobe Bryant, the NBA legend who left an indelible mark on the world of basketball, will always be a part of Los Angeles. Recently, Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s wife, along with their daughters Natalia, Bianka, and Capri, commemorated the installation of his handprints at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Clad in black, Vanessa and her daughters proudly unveiled Kobe’s handprints, which were originally made in 2011. Natalia delivered a poignant speech in tribute to her father, describing him as the “MVP of girl dads” and expressing gratitude for the many lessons he taught her.

Kobe Bryant was the first athlete to have his hands and feet immortalized in cement at the TCL Chinese Theatre. While other celebrity handprints at the iconic location are often replaced over time due to limited space, Kobe’s prints will now be a permanent feature in the theater’s courtyard. Vanessa Bryant, Kobe Bryant’s wife, shared a heartfelt video on social media that showed her and her daughters unveiling his handprints at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Stars like Ciara, Naomi Campbell, Monica Denise, Shaunie O’Neal, and WWE star Natalya left heartfelt comments on the post, expressing their love for the late Kobe Bryant and his family.
