‘Scary Hours’: James Harden Issues Stern Warning to the League

January 17, 2021 10:11 am

James Harden and the Brooklyn Nets had the whole league’s attention tonight. The ‘Beard’ was making his much awaited debut for the Nets and he didn’t disappoint at all. The New York based outfit registered a victory over the Orlando Magic on the back of a sensational performance from Harden.

In a 122-115 victory, Harden registered a triple-double and entered the franchise’s history books. Along with Harden, his partner in crime, Kevin Durant, also employed a lethal streak. The duo went berserk and gave a glimpse of what we can expect from them in the future.

Despite such amazing performances from the two, one thing was missing. It was Brooklyn’s 3rd superstar – Kyrie Irving.

The former all-star game MVP was sidelined after violating the league’s health protocols. He will most likely return for their Monday night’s clash with the Milwaukee Bucks.

James Harden talks about Kyrie Irving’s return

In the post game media conference, Harden spoke about what fans should expect from the team once Kyrie is back. He said:

I am so excited for Kai [Kyrie Irving] to get back. He’s a key piece to what we’re trying to do and you know the chemistry. So we can build that, the sooner we’re on the court together, it’s gonna be scary hours.”

Right now, most fans are worried about how Kyrie Irving will impact this newly formed super-team. Will he enhance the team chemistry? Or will he be an obstacle for the team? As of now, all we know is that on-paper, the trio look invincible.

Harden stuffed the stat sheet tonight against the Magic. However, the only negative aspect of his performance was committing way too many turnovers. Along with a triple double performance, Harden had 9 turnovers!

But the Nets shouldn’t scratch their heads over this as it was Harden’s first game with new teammates. Additionally, he didn’t even get a chance to be a part of a full-fledged practice with the team. Once he builds the chemistry with the team, the sky is the limit for them.
