Scottie Pippen has been at loggerheads with Michael Jordan since ‘The Last Dance’ came out. According to Pippen, Jordan was a selfish player. The 10-part documentary was directed by Jordan himself and put him on a pedestal. Moreover, he says that Michael Jordan was glorified while not giving nearly enough praise to Pippen and their teammates. Pippen now goes on record in his memoir ‘Unguarded’ to explain his beef with Jordan and Charles Barkley.

After their lone season as teammates on the 1998–1999 Houston Rockets, the rivalry between the two former NBA stars began. That year, the Rockets were a title contender. They had a forgettable first-round exit to the Lakers that season. Houston traded Pippen to Portland after he engaged in a public feud with Barkley in an attempt to force himself out of H-town. It has been more than two decades since the feud started, yet Pippen went on to reignite the sparks after talking about Barkley in his memoir.

Kids wanted to be ‘Like Mike.’ Well, Mike didn’t want to pass – didn’t want to rebound, or defend the best player. He wanted everything done for him.”

In his memoir, He calls out Jordan for making the Chicago Bulls documentary all about himself. Pippen was disappointed in Michael’s narrative that made him the frontman, while the rest of the Bulls a side cast.
