Michael Jordan is one of the most elusive figures in the NBA. Despite being possibly the most popular star to ever grace the NBA, Jordan stays out of the public eye on most occasions. He doesn’t have much of a social media presence and doesn’t make many public appearances. But one former NBA player wonders whether that could change anytime soon.

Matt Barnes has a question for Jordan

Former NBA stars and co-hosts of the ‘All The Smoke’, Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, were guests on the Dan Patrick show. Barnes said, “He’s kind of opened up a little bit more in the last maybe three-four years. And I think really since Kobe’s passing, his speech at the funeral was incredible, and what he brought to that moment was incredible. Just ask him (if) seeing Kobe do it, being one of the more open superstars, does that encourage him to do a little more? Because he’s someone we’ve always kind of wanted to know what he’s like behind the scenes.”

Barnes noted that despite Jordan being a very private person, he has allowed more of a glimpse into his life in recent years. Michael Jordan’s ‘The Last Dance’ documentary gave fans a glimpse into his career and personal life that fans had never had before. Barnes wants to know whether he will allow fans a further glimpse, while also noting that he wants to respect his privacy.

“I think his doc ‘The Last Dance’ really let us into a side of Mike we’ve never been able to see because social media and cameras weren’t around back then. He’s a lot of people’s favorite person, favorite player. So I just, we’d like to see a little bit more behind the scenes. Obviously, we want to respect his privacy and he’s not that type of person, we understand, but I think the last few years we’ve been seeing him open up more and more. And we’d just like that to continue,” Barnes said.
