Giannis Antetokounmpo has started preparations for the upcoming NBA season. Before that, he might even play for Greece at the EuroBasket. The 2021 Finals MVP has improved his game and his physique considerably over the years. Still only 27 years old, the ‘Greek Freak’ has already established himself as one of the all-time greats. If his latest Instagram post is any indication, then the league should be on alert, as he seems more determined than ever to reclaim the throne.

Giannis posted a picture of himself working out, which has attracted a lot of attention. The caption read, “Glad that I been through a lot, it made me a monster”.?The Greek international is a freak of nature. Even at 6’11” he runs rapidly and his size allows him to cover the court faster than anyone else.

A lot of celebrities took note of the post and commented their appreciation of the 2 time MVP’s hard work. Reddit co-founder and tennis legend Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian, commented, “This is the way.”,?showing his respect for the Milwaukee Bucks forward.

Coming from humble beginnings, Giannis knows better than most what greatness requires. His dedication to basketball and his family makes him a great role model.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is a determined, but humble great

While seeing Giannis working hard is nothing new, his opponents must be worried about seeing him so determined. His Milwaukee Bucks lost in the Eastern Conference Semifinals to the Boston Celtics in 7 games in the recently concluded season. Giannis had a great series as usual, but the absence of fellow All-Star Khris Middleton proved to be decisive.

Antetokounmpo has risen to this level of greatness. He was selected with the 15th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Buck. After a couple of poor seasons, Giannis rose to prominence in the 2016-17 season. He won the Most Improved Player that season.

He won two consecutive MVP awards in 2019 and 2020, along with being named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2020. He cemented his legacy by winning the Bucks’ first NBA championship since 1971 and he was named the Finals MVP as well.

Giannis already has accomplished more than a lot of Hall of Famers. He will most probably dominate the league for many years to come.
