One of the biggest stories that came out of All-Star weekend was that LeBron James may leave the Lakers. Rumors are going around that LeBron is not happy with Rob Pelinka. He is not happy with the way the Lakers are constructed and the inability to improve on that in the trade market.

And with LeBron saying that he wants to play with his son for one season, reports suggest that LeBron may not finish his career with the Lakers. His old teams, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat have emerged as favorites. Even Oklahoma City Thunder is also one of the favorites with all their draft picks. But a reputed NBA reporter seems to put an end to all the speculation.

Charania addresses rumors about LeBron being unhappy with the Lakers. He adds “I spoke to Rich Paul. Rich paul told me there is no issues with him and the Lakers. There is no issues with Klutch Sports and Rob Pelinka. There is no issues with LeBron and the Lakers. Of course, there is a level of frustration… They did not see this season going this way.”

Shams was also asked about LeBron’s future with the Lakers. He says “I personally right know don’t see a scenario where LeBron James is bolting from the Lakers to the Cavaliers. I don’t see that scenario now… LeBron James, from everything I’ve been told, his plan is to be a Laker.”

With Rich Paul coming out and saying that LeBron is happy with the Lakers, this should put speculation to bed, for now at least. No one at the Lakers could have predicted their season to turn out like this. They were one of the favorites for the title, but right now they are a sub .500 team.

LeBron is playing like an MVP of the league, but he has had no consistent help. Anthony Davis has missed a lot of games due to injury and Russell Westbrook has not been himself. The Lakers have less than a half a season remaining to figure out who they are and give LeBron at least a fighting chance in the playoffs.
