Shaquille O’Neal is back with his voice and opinion on the current state of LeBron James as a Laker. While many people have their take, Shaq has some interesting perspectives to share as he was a part of three NBA championship teams in Los Angeles.
He previously commented about how great Anthony Davis could be if he joins the Lakers but now seems to think that might not happen right away: “I don’t think they can do it by adding just one guy,” said O’Neal before citing several times where super teams took time for chemistry after assembling. Shaq further added, “It’s going to take more than one or two guys coming over there and I know they want AD bad so we’ll see what happens.”

Shaquille O’Neal wants the Lakers to get aligned
The Lakers have been struggling this season and dropped their seventh straight game on Tuesday. LeBron James is not happy with what’s going on as the team has yet to win a single championship since he arrived in Los Angeles. He recently made some comments about how it doesn’t make sense for Anthony Davis to leave New Orleans after signing an extension two years ago.
Shaquille O’Neal got wind of those remarks from King James and gave him a reality check by saying that people need to stop comparing themselves with legends like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who won multiple championships including titles during finals MVP seasons.” The great ones always find ways to get through tough times,” said Shaq via TMZ Sports. “It’s not about what you say, it’s about what you do.”
The Lakers are in for a tough battle this season and they will need to win some games to make the playoffs. Shaquille O’Neal’s opinion makes sense, as Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Michael Jordan are legends who have multiple championships under their belts.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis need to start winning championships if they want to be remembered as some of the greatest players of all time.
It’s going to be difficult for the Lakers to win a championship this year, but they can still make things interesting by making it to the finals. Only time will tell how things playout for the Lakers this season.
