So when he corroborated the New York Times’ recent decision to honor Kendrick, it strengthened the rapper’s claim to immortality.

The Big Diesel recognized greatness by sharing a post where Kendrick Lamar was touted as the “Greatest rapper of this generation”. There aren’t many who disagree with the suggestion, but Shaq’s affirmation just solidified the greatness of K-Dot. The Big Diesel was just one of the countless people who tipped their hats to the legendary rappers’ achievements. Back in May 2022, the New York Post named Lamar as the “Greatest rapper of this generation”

Meanwhile, New York Times recently decided to follow suit. The Los Angeles Lakers legend decided to share a post that relayed the same information. This marks as another bright jewel in Lamar’s opulent crown, which includes such notable accolades like the Pulitzer prize.

In 2018, Lamar became the first rapper ever to win the Pulitzer prize due to his stellar work on his album, DAMN. His greatness was rightly recognized even by people beyond his industry.
